Biography

Ryan Averbukh is a California native, born and raised in Los Angeles. He attended UCLA, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing. Ryan then obtained his Juris Doctor from Whittier Law School where he graduated with Scholastic Merit as a Deans’ Circle Member While in law school, Ryan worked as a certified law clerk for a solo practitioner in personal injury where he drafted demand letters, propounded and answered discovery, created discovery plans and appeared at various court hearings. Ryan was able to transition these skills to workers' compensation practice by efficiently managing client expectations and creating unique goals for each case. He strives to deliver successful case results, while aggressively advocating for his clients with a "shark" mentality. Since joining Employee Justice Legal Group, Ryan has successfully litigated Trials on issues ranging from employment, AOE/COE, medical treatment and temporary disability benefits; defended hundreds of Applicant depositions, conducted numerous cross-examinations of QME doctors and settled hundreds of high value cases. Ryan has appeared before WCABs throughout Southern and Central California. Ryan is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and is also a licensed Real Estate Agent in California. Ryan is bilingual in English and Russian. He enjoys spending his free time doing activities with his young daughter and wife, rooting for his favorite LA Clippers, bike riding, snowboarding and watching good documentaries.
